I am

the Learn at Home Mom!

I'm a teacher-turned-stay-at-home-mom raising a passionate 6-year-old boy (Squeak) and a thoughtful 3-year-old girl (Pixie). I use my BS degree in Sociology and my former Head Start teaching career to help my children learn to be compassionate, creative little learners every day.

I believe that children learn best through creative exploration and play, and for my two children, I try to make our entire home their classroom. At home, we learn and discover through a lot of dramatic play, art projects, sensory activities, outdoor exploring, and creating in the kitchen.

the importance of play
